Teddy Bears and Ants on Logs? Of course! It's their day!

Today was special because
we get to celebrate one of my favorite things!
Teddy Bears!

I absolutely love Teddy Bears
or am I mistaking them for gummy bears...
Hmmm.
Nevermind...

I like teddy bears,
but I love
GUMMY BEARS.
I had the two confused...
I hope there is a gummy bear day
because that one will be my FAVORITE!

Anywho,
where were we?

Teddy Bears!

Being the mom of four kids
my home holds more teddy bears than
it probably should,
but that alright,
because
those teddy bears
have helped us
survive
thunderstorms, hurricanes,
daddy deploying, mommy in the hospital,
surgeries, sickness, happy days,
nightmares, loneliness,
sadness, anger, confusion,
and doubt.

The teddy bears in our home
are not just toys,
they are friends to be cherished,
celebrated, and loved.
 Happy National Teddy Bear Day!

It was also National Ants On A Log Day,
but I didn't have celery to make the tasty treat
and I never made it to the store because
I was doing 47429374398 other things,
instead I'll enjoy the snack tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow,
what fun day awaits us?
National Swap Ideas Day...

Any idea on how to celebrate?
Let me know in the comments.

  1. I will have to tell my kids about this. My little one has a teddy that he loves, but my older one always had a sheep, named Sheepy, the he took with him EVERYWHERE.

  11. I love teddy bears as well. I saw that today was National Teddy Bear day. Build a Bear even sent me a coupon. All of mine are packed up in my mothers attic. Kiddos room is so overloaded with stuffed animals. No idea where to put it all most days.
