Hey Friends!
Today was National TV Dinner Day
and my family celebrated accordingly...
I even have the indigestion to go with it...
Not that you want to hear about my indigestion,
but sharing is caring right? Haha!
No... was that a bit awkward?
Okay...
On to what you're really here for...
Pictures!
This afternoon
we took the kids to the store
and everyone picked out their meals.
My daughter chose the creamy chicken & shrimp, my son picked out the herb
roasted chicken, hubster picked parmesan pasta with rosemary chicken,
and I, the chicken margherita.
After what felt like a million minutes
at the microwave,
starting, stopping, stirring,
removing film, replacing film
and of course letting the meals rest,
we finally were able to sit down and eat.
It was in somewhere in between
stirring and replacing film
that I realized
how much I dislike
TV dinners.
Well... maybe not the dinners themselves,
but the making of them for sure.
Haha!
So, while we were enjoying our meals,
the little guy in the middle said it's not a
true TV dinner unless we're eating in front of the TV...
The boy was right, so I decided to be
the cool mom tonight and
in front of the TV they ate
every last morsel.
(like how I stuck the ants on a log in there, lol)
Today was a holiday
that I had a tough time with.
Our kids eat fairly healthy
and before today
had no interest in TV Dinners.
I found that the kids made
interesting choices,
but we said they could whatever they wanted
and they did...
The question is did they like it?
Yes and No...
My daughter liked the veggies and the meats in her meal,
but said the pasta and sauce were bland.
My son ate the whole meal,
something he never does.
Will we celebrate this holiday again?
Maybe...
But probably not. LOL!
Tomorrow is:
Hot Cross Buns Day
Make Your Bed Day
Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance
What will tomorrow's post be like?
I can't say, you'll have to visit me to find out!
