It's day numero dos of 365
and
I really enjoyed capturing the fun of it.
Today is National Hug Your Hound Day
and also National Date-Nut Bread Day...
However, I do not like dates,
so I will not be partaking in said date-nut bread day
festivities...
Instead,
my darling husband
will
hug our hounds
Jameson and Bailey
our weimaraner and dalmatian.
They both are a very special
part of our lives.
Jameson our weim, came into our life 2008 right after a big move,
and Bailey joined our family in 2012 while we were living in the Middle East.
They are filled with love, light,
and can brighten the darkest of days.
They have been through several moves,
both international and local,
survived multiple toddlers, infants,
tail pulling, eye-poking, and curious little humans
that they've done nothing but love on.
Our furbabies are pretty darn cool
and
deserve to be hugged
not only today,
but every day...
So...
Have you hugged your hound today?
If not what are you waiting for?
I miss having animals. My Daughter has a dog so when I miss them too much, I go visit her.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I will be sure to give my dog, Milo, a few extra hugs today. He is too cute not to anyways :)
ReplyDeleteI know I hugged my pups today and yesterday! The kids are always hanging on my dogs and they take it so well. They deserve hugs, for sure!
ReplyDeleteYour dogs are beautiful. I also do not like dates so I will skip that one. We have three dogs, one is a new puppy and I think he would like it if I skipped this day as he has been showered with hugs!
ReplyDeleteWe have 2 dogs and they've both been squeezed today! My brother in law has a weimaraner and they are the sweetest and so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet babies! I love animals especially dogs but we don't have a dog presently.
ReplyDeleteSo cute i don't have a dog but I'll hug my cat just so I have an animal to love on.
ReplyDeleteLove those pictures! Hug your dogs for me, too. I'm missing mine :(
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures LOL I haven't hugged my Taffy yet today, but I will later. (She gets hair all over me before work if I hug her in the morning LOL)
ReplyDeleteI definitively did hug mine although I didn't know it was such a special day
ReplyDeletelove your photos, cute doggies!
Oh I'll have to give my mom's dog an extra hug this evening! There really is a day for everything.
ReplyDeleteWe have always wanted a dalmatian. They are so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI definitely hugged my pooch yesterday! She loves them :)
ReplyDeleteAwww! I love dalmatians! My son calls them "firehouse dogs" which makes me love them even more actually.
ReplyDeleteMy 3 hounds don't leave you a choice! LOL! They demand hugs! Only because they are spoiled and get hugged on all the time so they know when they haven't had one in a while that they just have to ask for it. I love Dalmations and Weimereiner's ! Gorgeous pups!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any hounds, but if I did, I'd hug them! Your two are cutie pies.
ReplyDeleteNooo. My little Chispitas is actually being taken care of by another family right now because the son fell in love with him. He used to come over (he lives 2 hours away) all the time to play with Chispas, so we eventually decided that Chispas could be temporarily adopted.
ReplyDeleteMy precious hound went to doggy heaven a week and a half ago. I wish he was here to hug.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a day that I can celebrate. I have a lovable big yellow dog, my Labrador retriever, Max.
ReplyDeleteTime to go give mine a hug! Love my little Dash, lab. Amber N
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely something to celebrate. I wish we had a dog.
ReplyDeleteI'm not adverse to hugging a hound. :) Cute ones you've got there too!
ReplyDeleteI don't need an excuse to hug my hound. As a matter of fact, I try to hug him as often as possible.
