National Hug Your Hound Day!

It's day numero dos of 365
and
I really enjoyed capturing the fun of it.

Today is National Hug Your Hound Day
and also National Date-Nut Bread Day...
However, I do not like dates,
so I will not be partaking in said date-nut bread day
festivities...

Instead,
my darling husband
will
hug our hounds
Jameson and Bailey
our weimaraner and dalmatian.

They both are a very special
part of our lives.

Jameson our weim, came into our life 2008 right after a big move,
and Bailey joined our family in 2012 while we were living in the Middle East.

They are filled with love, light,
and can brighten the darkest of days.
They have been through several moves,
both international and local,
survived multiple toddlers, infants,
tail pulling, eye-poking, and curious little humans
that they've done nothing but love on.
Our furbabies are pretty darn cool
and
deserve to be hugged
not only today,
but every day...

So...
Have you hugged your hound today?
If not what are you waiting for?

  4. Your dogs are beautiful. I also do not like dates so I will skip that one. We have three dogs, one is a new puppy and I think he would like it if I skipped this day as he has been showered with hugs!

  15. My 3 hounds don't leave you a choice! LOL! They demand hugs! Only because they are spoiled and get hugged on all the time so they know when they haven't had one in a while that they just have to ask for it. I love Dalmations and Weimereiner's ! Gorgeous pups!

  17. Nooo. My little Chispitas is actually being taken care of by another family right now because the son fell in love with him. He used to come over (he lives 2 hours away) all the time to play with Chispas, so we eventually decided that Chispas could be temporarily adopted.

  23. I don't need an excuse to hug my hound. As a matter of fact, I try to hug him as often as possible.
