Today was
National Comic Book Day
and
the kids celebrated appropriately.
We were going to make a visit
to our local comic book store to
pick out new comic books,
but the dreary and gray
weather put a damper
(pun-intended)
on those plans.
Tomorrow is
National Pancake Day
and I know what I'll be cooking
at some point during the day...
Fun fact: IHOP celebrates National Pancake Day in March, but
September 26th is indeed the actual day.
See ya tomorrow!
I love all these National days you keep me informed about. I'm off to get the comics and pancake mix for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteComic books are a great way to get kids excited about reading. My students love them.
ReplyDeleteMy brothers who weren't big readers still loved comic books. I think they're fantastic for reluctant readers!
ReplyDeleteMy kids would be all over this one. They love reading their comics.
ReplyDeleteI did not know this! National pancake day also.. Where have I been! lol

ReplyDeleteI am not ready at all for comic book day! I am going to have to go to the library and find some.
ReplyDeletePancakes on the other hand are all but cooked
Pancakes for breakfast tomorrow for sure.
ReplyDeletePancakes sound pretty tasty! I'll see you tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNational Comic Book Day is a big thing in this house. Husband has all his comics from when he was a kid and his life is covered in Captain America. He has some originals.
ReplyDeleteCool! There's a lot of comic books these days that are worth something! They SHOULD have their day :)
ReplyDeleteI wish I had known that earlier! I would have celebrated comic book day with my kids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day for comic book readers! I am bummed that tomorrow is pancake day. We JUST had them last night. I would have held off to celebrate had I known the day was right around the corner lol.
ReplyDeleteI have a 50 year old brother that still enjoys his comic books. It is something that he has shared with his son and they have bonded over it.
ReplyDeleteWho knew? I bet my friend who collects comic books would. Lol. I honestly never liked reading comic books growing up because I would get confused by the conversation bubbles. Lol
ReplyDeleteMy Brothers loved comic books but I wasn't into them and I rarely see them that much anymore. My boys would love to read these :)
ReplyDeleteComic books are kind of a classic thing now, aren't they? Amber N
ReplyDeleteI had no idea IHOP celebrates on a day different from the actual holiday ... interesting!! Wonder why? LOL
ReplyDeleteMy husband likes comic book still. Something he carried over from his youth. :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of the fun National Days that go on! We love National Comic Book Day here! We are all comic book lovers
